Description
Long Song Description:
The Alchemist describes some of Bruce's spiritual experiences consistent with the symbolism and practices of the Medieval alchemists, as studied by Carl Jung and foreshadowing Bruce's unified field theory of biophysics.

Three years into my Ph.D. studies in medical science at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, I experienced a severe occupational mercury exposure that was long term due to an undetected spill in a hot water bath in my research lab.
Story Behind the Song:
Due to the mercury and the resulting altered states of consciousness I experienced, I then I became an involuntary alchemist on the hunt for my healing and enlightenment. The music on this website is one of the many fruits that subsequently emerged from this wounded healer's journey, the "alchemical opus."

Lyrics
Do you remember the dream,
When your life will turn to gold,
Your death will soon grow old,
To be born again,

Do you remember the night,
When you came to face the storm,
My love you did adore,
Now I'll be your friend,

Refrain:

I'll guide you through the rain,
When the vortex swirls around you,
And you think you're losing ground,
I'll be the stone in your midst,

Come full circle to see this through,
I'll be there to meet and greet you,
You're no fool seeking hangman's bliss,
You're the alchemist,
-

Do you remember the light,
That shines beyond this world,
Of shadows yet unfurled,
To be worn again,

Do you remember the life,
When you pierced illusion's veil,
Now tell the greater tale,
And transform again,

Refrain:

I'll guide you through the rain,
When the vortex swirls around you,
And you think you're losing ground,
I'll be the stone in your midst,

Come full circle to see this through,
I'll be there to guide you,
You're no fool seeking hangman's bliss,
You're the alchemist,
